I want to thank everyone for bearing w/ us while we figure out how this group is being run.
In no particular order...
1 This group is focused on being quality driven, not quantity. If you're expecting every single nude selection of yours to be accepted, this probably isn't the right group for you. We're currently running under the premise of "we know it when we see it." Yes, we admit that its subjective but judging art in general is ALREADY subjective.
2 Nudity must be showing regardless if they were nude at the time or not. Implied nudity (where the R-rated parts are covered) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, just don't get your hopes up.
For the purposes of this group, male topless is not considered a nude.
3 Though we respect the lovely nude works that are in the traditional & digital mediums, we're limiting our submissions to photography only.
Photo-manipulations & Digital Art will be limited to what can be manipulated through traditional darkroom means. If either is so heavily manipulated that it LOOKS more a manip/digital art than photography, expect it to be rejected.
4 Submitting 's are for OTHER people's work not your own.
Like I'm person-X & I see a work of person-Y's that I think should be 'ed by the group...we're cool w/ that. What's not cool is person-X submitting one of their own works as a .
5 No work that goes against 's own guidelines please.
6 If you have any constructive criticism, suggestions, questions, or comments, please note the group. We're trying to project a positive public atmosphere & want to keep the unnecessary drama to a mininum.
7 I wouldn't mind regular blog contributors. If interested, please note us privately & what you'd like to discuss (if you even know that yet) & we'll see what we can do.
8 Please only submit images that you had a hand in creating AND have permission to post. In another words, no rips!
9 Please limit yourself to submitting no more than 3 of your own pictures per day. We're not setting this completely in stone but we'd humbly ask you to be fair to the other members.
10 If anyone wishes to contribute points to help us upgrade the group or enable us to upgrade when our current Super Group membership runs out, I've set up one of those donation widgets on my profile page (semi234) . You'd certainly have my gratitude.
11 Repeatedly not getting the hint (like submitting the same digital art piece & being told that we're rejecting it & why over & over again), is ground for summary removal. A great majority of you will not have to worry about this.
12 Art judging (which is what we do when we "accept" or "reject" member selections) is by its very nature subjective. Just because your or other people are going gaga over your selection, doesn't mean we will.
13 We have a policy of not giving reasons why something was rejected unless specifically asked. We feel it forces us to make up excuses to justify our reasons & thus generate ill will. Sometimes a proposed deviation just isn't the "best fit" for this group...& that's ok.
14 Remember the old lawyer adage, "Never ask a question you don't really want an answer to," when asking why your piece was rejected. We do try to be diplomatic in our responses but sometimes when pressed further you force us to be brutally honest. If you get upset because of it, that's your problem not ours.
15 If we've unwittingly "accepted" a stolen piece into our gallery, PLEASE LET US KNOW. We try to be on top of these things but things do fall through the cracks. We are not dA admin either. We work a helluva lot faster than them & our burden of proof is considerably lower threshold.
16 If your submitted piece is heavily focused on the genitalia or breasts, so much so where that's about ALL a person sees, expect it to be denied. Though we respect a person's right to create such content, we don't feel its the right "fit" for this group.
I think that its about it. I kindly thank you for your patience while we get this group off the ground.
